Za’atar Chicken

Michael had everyone over to his house to christen the new grill with our May Wine Club Recipe and Spice Pack. And of course we had to try all the wine club wines with it too! We found the recipe super easy to make, though with the extra plump and juicy chicken thighs we used we had to leave the chicken on the grill a little bit longer. Matt ‘Salad King’ Goodell made a delicious fresh salad taking advantage of some CSA goodies and Renee made rice to go with the chicken. It was a little chilly to eat outside still, but we did get to enjoy a beautiful sunset together.

It was hard to choose a favorite wine! We had three votes for Fascinator, two for 2020 Riesling and one for 2021 Mary’s Folly (we ignored the outlier vote for chocolate milk as it came from the lone 5 year old at the table). After much spirited debate we decided that we would be happy to have any of those three served, but we liked Chardonnay better sipped while grilling than paired with the chicken.
